Sacred Heart Cathedral | Top Spot to Visit in the City

If you live in Casablanca, Morocco and wonder where you could go besides for eating at the cafe/restaurant/or the mall ....because let's face it, these are often the easy options hehe. Well this time, I have a great suggestion for you! Especially if you are looking for some Casablanca attractions to visit. I posted a Tik Tok about this spot a few months ago and it kept getting increased traction as the months went by so I thought hmmm a lot of people are not aware of this place.

Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, the place is called the Sacred Heart Cathedral or in French L'Eglise du Sacré-Coeur de Casablanca. A former catholic church, located at Angle rue d'Alger et boulevard Rachdi, quartier Gautier 20250 and one of the most admirable architectures of the city. This beautiful place now, is opened for expos and various events that you can enjoy! According to the information present on Google, the cathedral is open from 8AM-8PM which leaves plenty of time for visitors to check out. Especially if you are working and may get worried to miss the opportunity.

Now, I am going to talk about the event I attended. Honestly, it all happened by chance. I was walking by, this summer 2025 and I saw food trucks parked inside and visitors entering. I asked the security guy and they said there was an event going on and that we could check it out. It was free so I thought to myself: Absolutely we are going to check it out haha. We got in and it was an expo of different small to medium businesses held by women varying from traditional clothing to paintings, accessories, fashion in general. and on the upper floor there was a training class for women going on with loud music. It was all fun and very entertaining to see and discover some beautiful items. I did not buy anything but it made me feel very ambitious and think to myself, I too can run my own business later and attend this type of gatherings to promote my services. Let me tell you, it was pretty crowded but unfortunately, many of the businesses did not allow pictures to be taken so none can be shown here :( When we went out of the cathedral, I wanted to drink something to freshen up due to the scorching heat so I got a smoothie from the food truck which was not free of course lol. My dad got a hot dog too and he said it was alright!

I am definitely going to visit the cathedral more often in the upcoming months and enjoy the different expositions that will be held there. The only downer is that I wished they had some sort of social media where they could announce their events so that you and I can keep up and never miss out! To sum up, if you ever want to do some Casablanca sightseeing, I recommend this place by excellence. I hope you enjoyed my little post and wishing you read more of my articles in the future!!
